You will spend your holidays at the island of Ridö near Västerås, belonging to the beautiful lake "Mälaren" west of Stockholm.
The holiday object is a former school, built in 1940 and located exactly in the middle of the island. Large parts of the object have been newly renovated and the furniture is very cosy and expresses a lot of warmth.
Your holiday home has about 130 square meters living space and in a garden of about 10000 m2 you will have much room for all kinds of games. Grill and garden furniture are available, so that nothing stands in the way of a barbecue party in the evening.
Many guests visit the island because of the pleasant, peaceful location and the many places of relaxation. This includes forest walks in the same way as opportunities for swimming or berry-picking and mushroom-picking. In this idyllic skerry area you can experience beautiful sunsets at the lake. You will also get to know a particularly interesting vegetation and animal kingdom. For this the island as eco park is well-known since 2005.
The island you can reach either by ferry or by your own boat, if you like it more adventurous. There are daily ferry connections from Västerås.
From the kitchen of your holiday home you have a view of the whole property with beautiful oak trees. The kitchen and the equipment are designed for about 30 persons. You will also find a friendly living room, TV, a play room and a dormitory, which also has a capacity of 30 persons. At the propertry you will find six newly renovated dry toilets. The holiday home is suited both for private persons and for larger groups, like associations, societies, clubs, schools and wedding parties.
